Local knowledge meets science: METAscales in coastal practice

Coastal communities are facing unprecedented challenges due to the impacts of the climate crisis. Dikes are considered the primary line of defense, but increasingly frequent extreme weather events are demanding new adaptation strategies. In this newly released video, Chief Dike Warden Günter Veldmann presents the challenges along the Wremen coast and explains the focus of the living lab within the METAscales project.
